In Term 3 we have learnt how to compose a haiku poem. A haiku poem is three lines the first line has to have five syllables the second line has to have seven syllables and the third line has to have five syllables. This was the poem that I wrote.
Jumping through the trees,
a curious green tree frog,
looking for it’s lunch.
Hi Zac,
I thought that your haiku was very descriptive for just a few words. I liked how you gave a definition of a haiku in case people didn’t know what it was.

From Flynn
Hi Zac,
I really liked your post about the frog, that was so creative with your word choice. I could imagine in my head what the frog was doing and then eating his lunch. Great job!
Zara
Hi Zac,
Your poem was descriptive and I especially liked how you used the words a curious green tree frog. Adding onto Zara’s comment, it painted a picture in my mind of how a frog would catch its lunch. You also added a picture that related to the poem. Good job.

Dear Zac,
Haiku poems are my favorite type of poem. Reading your poem made me happy, because now I know that lots of people write haiku poems. I don’t have any poems on my blog right now, but I do have a lot of good book suggestions at http://26kaif.edublogs.org/
Sincerely,
Kai
